Sooo my Parent's Yukon has a little Issue, The Radio with the Truck will connect to the XM band, but not the AM/FM band. Anybody with any idea of a Fix please Comment.
Now that the XM has expired and we don't really have a need for it, Driving has become a tad... duller

I have seen the antenna come unplugged before, some of those had a connection at the top of the headliner that is not near the radio or antenna.

The dealer does have a tester that can replace the antenna to see if it is the shark fin

Its hard to say from sitting far away in my chair, could be the radio, could be a fuse inside the radio, could be a software glitch. I know the radio in those has a tendency to be troublesome

Stock radios kinda suck on gmt-800s and really all gm products pre 2007.

No radio as in there is just static or no radio as in there is nothing coming through the speakers at all.

It is likely the antenna then. I have had the antenna cable where it attaches to the deck pop out.

That little, round, almost penis like end is the part that attaches to the deck and as you can see it doesn't really get held in by anything.

Shocking, the radio is the only thing in the dash that's hasn't gone wonky in my dad's '04 Silverado. Even the gauges have at this point.
I'd say something's wrong with the antenna. Maybe the cable going into the back of the radio has come loose. It's only held in with a cheap plastic clip in these.
